Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival QAIA – Transfers to Amman
Day 2: Amman – Jerash – Umm Qais
Day 3: Amman – Umm Qais (Trekking - easy) – Pella – Bethany – Dead Sea
Day 4: Dead Sea – Wadi Bin Hammad 4 hours trekking (intermediate – difficult) – Dana Nature Reserve
Day 5: Wadi Dana Trail - Dana to Feynan (14 km 6-7 hours difficult) – O/N in Feynan
Day 6: Feynan 2 hours’ sunrise hike – Shobak - trekking from King’s way to little Petra (10 km 2 hours - intermediate)
Day 7: Trekking from little Petra - visit including visit to the Monastery – Petra
Day 8: Petra 2nd day visit including visit to the high please of sacrifice – Wadi Rum
Day 9: Wadi Rum by camels and jeeps – trekking until sunset – Wadi Rum
Day 10: Wadi Rum climbing Jabal Um Al-Dami – Afternoon Aqaba
Day 11: Aqaba at leisure – optional activities – Amman
Day 12: Tour in Amman down town – Desert Castles – Amman
Day 13: Iraq Al Amir – Madaba – walking from Madaba to Mount Nebo (10 km 2 hours – easy) – Amman
Day 14: Departure from QAIA
Given that Jordan is a Middle Eastern city with strict laws about vice, I didn’t imagine there’d be too much “craziness” there. My trip would be mellow without the original temper of this region.
